  • Elizabeth is passionate when speaking about topics including single-parenting, over-coming obstacles, homelessness, education, domestic violence, and racial cohesion. She offers inspiration, hope, and motivation drawing from her own personal experience.

Elizabeth Scott is a single mother of 2 children. She recently graduated with her master's degree in Social Work while working full-time as an investigator on a domestic team with the state of Kentucky. She has gained international child-welfare experience while studying abroad in Uganda, Africa. She is a graduate and a member of the Family Scholar Houses Speakers Bureau, an organization that assists single-parents who have experienced homelessness achieve a college degree.

Elizabeth is passionate when speaking on topics including single-parenting, over-coming obstacles, homelessness, the pursuit of higher education, domestic violence, and racial cohesion. She offers inspiration and hope as a natural motivational speaker. Drawing from her own personal experience. Elizabeth is truly genuine and dedicated to using her story to encourage and motivate others when overcoming life obstacles. She recently presented at PWN Conference 2011 and is already an anticipated speaker for Conference 2013.

Ms. Scott is a contributing author of Reinventing Yourself at Any Age: The Power of Change. She shares that through the pursuit of higher education it was her educational journey that ultimately turned her life around. Appropriately, her chapter is titled The Front of the Class: The Power of Education, where she provides tips and encouragement on academic success.

Ms. Scott achieved a Master's of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work. She is currently an investigator on a state Domestic Violence team serving adults and children. She is dedicated to empowering women in overcoming adversity and leading by example. It has been her dream to use her personal experience and Social Work background in helping women become self-sufficient and achieve their maximum potential. As a life-time learner Elizabeth is currently working on additional projects and certifications that will enhance her effectiveness and the impact she has on others. She is available on a local, national, and international basis for speaking engagements.
