Dr. Danita Johnson Hughes is President of The Johnson Hughes Group and as a certified trainer is a member of the International Advisory Board of The Professional Woman Network. Dr. Hughes expertise includes leadership development, women's issues, and issues related to family and children. Her training and consulting style as well as her motivational/inspirational and speaking talents have received excellent reviews. She is the author of Power from Within: Discovering What You Have to Live Successfully.

Dr. Johnson Hughes is also President and CEO of Edgewater Systems for Balanced Living, Inc. a comprehensive services provider organization specializing in behavioral health and child welfare serves. She is the only African-American  President/CEO of an Indiana Division of Mental Health certified Mental Health Center in the state of Indiana. She is the recipient of the Calumet Community Hero Award, Gary YWCA 2001 Woman Power Award for Leadership, and Distinguished Hoosier Award presented by the Governor of Indiana. She is a regular columnist for the Post Tribune Newspaper.
