Dr. Flowers graduated from Detroit Central High School. She received a B.A. in Business Administration from Michigan State University and a M.S. in Health Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. She received a Master of Divinity Degree (MDiv) in 2003 and a Doctor of Ministry Degree (D.Min) in 2006 from Ashland Theological Seminary. Dr. Flowers has participated in educational seminars at Morehouse College Leadership Center in Atlanta, Georgia and Jerusalem University in Israel.

Dr. Flowers is a professional human resource developer and trainer. She has provided instructional training to professional organizations all over the world such as UAW, Chrysler Corporation, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Mercedes Benz, Abbott Laboratories, Bristol Myers Squibb, Miller-Canfield, Itaka, Visalus and many other organizations. She is the architect of "Choices: Making Moves To Win!" a preventive life care educational curriculum that teaches people how to think strategically and make moves that propel them towards their goals. Her purpose is educate, equip and empower people to soar through life like an Eagle. She currently serves as Kingdom Expansion Director at Third New Hope Baptist Church and Interim Campus Pastor of Third New Hope's Northwest Campus under the leadership of Dr. E. L. Branch.

Dr. Flowers is a member of the Professional Women's Network, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Troy Diversity Council, a mentor for Sisters Inspiring Sisters Mentoring Group in partnership with Wayne State University and a participant in The Community House SEED Project (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) for 2014-2015. She is the co-author of a meditational CD, entitled "Anointed Moments", and a contemporary musical preaching CD, entitled "Dry Bones". She is also co-author of "Tal'i-tha cu' mi: Daughters Arise and has written for Precious Times Magazine. Her dissertation, "A Collaborative Academic Ministry Model (CAM) that bridges the gap between the academy and the church was published in 2006. She has received certifications from The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurs, True Colors Personal Success, Save Our Youth and Teen Image and Women of Leadership Coaching. She was also listed in Who's Who in Black Detroit, Inaugural and 2nd Edition and honored by Women's Informal Network (WIN) as one of the most influential African American women in metropolitan Detroit area.

She is the wife of Orlando and proud mother of James Ronald and Quency Christine. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
