A Serial Entrepreneur with over 30 years experience of business start up and development, Valerie has founded 10 businesses and co-founded others including 'Working Woman UK' and 'Entrepreneur's Ladder'. Her businesses have supplied products and services to companies including international household names and top London Department Stores.

Operating globally, on and offline, Valerie helps people and organisations envision, plan and achieve their potential. She champions women's authentic leadership and enterprise.

From her own experiences, Valerie has become an expert at overcoming challenges and helps other women to break down their barriers.

Valerie's leadership 'Female Firsts' include President, Chairman, Non-Executive Director, of businesses and organisations, including Chamber of Commerce, Chartered Institute of Management, Learning & Skills Council, Regional Development Agency , UK National Lottery and private businesses. Her decision making has influenced their Vision, direction, strategies, business improvement and management of capital and assets worth up to £200 million, with direct decisions on funding projects over £1 million.

Her extensive business experience and inclusive approach helps individuals, Corporate Boards, Private Enterprise, NGO's, Charities and other organisations perform better, frequently completing turnaround situations.

Valerie is a recognised Champion for Women's Enterprise and has a track record as a Keynote Speaker on the topic, working with The Women Speakers Agency and many other organisations. In 2006 Valerie was appointed by the UK Government as a UK Women's Enterprise Ambassador and appointed to the Women's Enterprise Taskforce, charged with increasing the opportunities for UK women's enterprise. The taskforce legacy includes the £500 million Aspire Fund, with a priority to invest in growth oriented women's enterprises.

Valerie has won a commendation from The Prince's Youth Business Trust for supporting disadvantaged young people to achieve success through enterprise; is listed on the Prowess Roll of Honour for Promoting Women's Enterprise Development plus Awards for developing women's enterprise and has been invited to no less than three Royal Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace, one of which was for her services to Women's Enterprise. Clearly this is her passion!
