Karen Doughty Ministries was birthed out of a painstaking ordeal; child sexual abuse. Since embracing freedom through Christ, she tirelessly ADVOCATES for those seeking to be whole.

Karen's resilience and display of altruism is remarkable. It compliments her many hats: Author, Healer, Inspirational & Motivational Speaker, Certified Empowerment Coach, Mentor, and Licensed Minister. She is set to be ordained as an Evangelist Spring of 2016.

As Chief Executive Officer of Karen Doughty, LLC, and President and Founder of The Lighthouse Rescue Missions, Karen specializes in transforming lives affected by child sexual abuse.

Her purpose and professionalism is supported by working with churches, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. History was made when she joined experts at Penn State First Annual Child Sexual Abuse Conference. She is a member of Louisiana Foundation against Sexual Assault, Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network Speakers' Bureau and National Association of Professional Women.

Not only has Karen published two books, the awarding winning Empowered to Uproot The Seed of Abuse and her latest release Overcoming Child Sexual Abuse, she has also published articles and has been featured in magazines and newspapers. She made guest appearances on television and radio programming aiming to reach the masses. She is scheduled to write daily devotionals for The Professional Woman Network.

Karen holds an Associate of Arts in Christian Education, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
