Dr. Cynthia Parker White earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1973; Master of Arts in School Counseling in 1979 and Certification in Educational Leadership in 1998 (all from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida). She earned an Educational Specialist degree in School Counseling in 1995 (University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg); Education Specialist in 2004 and Doctor of Education in 2005 (both in Educational Leadership from Argosy University, Sarasota, Florida.

She has been employed as a Professional School Counselor at her Alma Mater, Gibbs High school in St. Petersburg, Florida since 1980, believing that "to whom much is given, much is expected". She has served as an adjunct professor in the Counselor Education program at Argosy University/Tampa campus since 2006 teaching Social and Cultural Competencies for Educators (Diversity) in addition to other courses required for the Master's degree in School Counseling, Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.

She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, past member of the National Alliance for Black School Educators (NABSE), American School Counselors Association (ASCA) and current member of the Pinellas County School Counselors Association (PSCA). She is on the Board Governance for Community Action Stops Abuse. Dr. White is also a member of the Professional Woman Network, an internationally recognized organization where she trained and earned certification in Diversity and Women's Issues (January 2011).

She is the author of Healing for My Hurt: A Journey to Wholeness/Finding My Father, Finding My Self which chronicles her childhood pain of growing up without knowledge of the biological father she did not find until she was a woman of 56. Healing for My Hurt speaks to the heart of what little girls and women (and little boys and men) endure when they have not had the connection to their father, when they have not known his love, his care and the protection that should come from him. Her book is currently being utilized as a classroom teaching tool in a public school district in her state.
