Ms. Vera Morgan Byrd is President and CEO of Professional
Resource, a professional development consulting and training firm
specializing in Customer Service and Professional Development. Professional
Resource offers educational, practical, inspirational, and professional
guidance to its clients. The workshops and seminars are filled with
energy, enthusiasm, passion, and inspiration and are geared to meet
the client"s needs while motivating the client to "take action"
as well as "think outside the box."
Ms. Byrd is a certified consultant and has been
appointed to the Professional Woman Network Board of Advisors for
2006. Ms. Byrd has over 25 years experience in the corporate environment,
customer service, sales, marketing, public speaking, energy management,
quality improvement, and human resources.
As a member of the Community Information Program
(CIP) at FPL, Ms. Byrd has spoken to numerous schools, civic and
community groups on an array of topics dealing with electrical safety,
energy conservation, hurricane preparedness, rate increases, nuclear
energy, the environment, and endangered species in Florida.
Ms. Byrd holds a BPS degree in Business Management
from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida and a Paralegal Certification
from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. She has had
involvement in Life Style Management, Image and Self-Projection,
Effective Communication, Personnel Law, and Leadership and Supervisory
Skills for Women.
She has served on the Women Advisory Board Plantation
General Hospital (Broward County), Salvation Army Advisory Board
Lake Worth, Sickle Cell Foundation Palm Beach County, and a
Loan Executive to the United Way Palm Beach County. Was a past
president of the Palm Beach Charter Chapter of the American Business
Women Association and is currently active with Sigma Lamp of Learning
Foundation, Gamma Gamma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority
and the Coalition of 100 Black Women South Palm Beach County.
Ms. Byrd is available to speak, consult and train
on a local, regional and national basis.
