Ms. Barrett has an extensive background in the
political arena, having served as field director for Jimmy Carter
for President campaign, staff assistant for U.S. Senator Richard
Stone's office in Washington, D.C., and administrative aide to the
Mayor ofæææ the City of Jacksonville. She serves on the Board of
Advisors for the Professional Woman Network, Executive Committee
of Christian and Jews, Jacksonville Women's Society Board, YWCA
Board of Directors, and is listed in Who's Who in American Colleges
and Universities. She has served as the Host Committee Staff
Director for Mrs. Albert Gore Jr., and has received the First Coast
Women's Club "Woman of Achievement" award.
Ms. Barrett has assisted in special project coordination
for the City of Jacksonville in drug awareness programs for teens,
and served as liaison for the annual U.S. Conference of Mayors in
Washington D.C. Her political background and liaison experience
give her special insight into self-promotion.
