Joyce Barnett has firsthand knowledge of raising an autistic child. She has a son who is autistic, and is now an adult. She has appeared on several television and radio programs raising awareness regarding the syndrome. Barnett also is a public speaker who has spoken at The Kimberly Clark Corporation in Atlanta, and has received education in Chaplain Studies at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, 2000.
